The Impetus for the Plot of Three Inner Monologues in Wuthering Heights

A large number of inner monologues are used in Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.The use of this writing technique not only display and analyze the unknown inner worlds of the characters,but also promote the plot development to forge ahead and reach the climax.This article attempts to analyze the impetus for the plot development of three stirring inner monologues selected in Wuthering Heights,combined with the main line of the novel — the psychological development and changes of the protagonist,Heathcliff.
