Lymphoscintigram in Breast Cancer: A Superimposed Technique

1986
A lymphoscintigram is a simple and non-invasive means of visualizing regional lymph nodes in cancer patients. Real contributions have been made in breast cancer with lymphoscintigrams (Agwunobi, 1978; Ege, 1976; Hultborn, 1955) but the images show only the accumulation of radioactive colloid in the form of hot spots which are transcribed on a roughly sketched hand drawn anatomical background. As a result, it is difficult to diagnose the exact location of these lymph nodes.
