015PROPENSITY SCORE ANALYSIS OF OUTCOMES FOLLOWING MINIMALLY INVASIVE VERSUS CONVENTIONAL AORTIC VALVE REPLACEMENT

2014
Methods: Retrospective, Observative study of 2103 patients who underwent isolated aortic valve replacement (AVR) between January 2001 and May 2012 usuing a propensity score matching analysis. Conclusion: Our propensity matched study shows that minimally invasive AVR in comparison to conventional AVR is a safe procedure associated with low mortality rates, significant shorter ventilation time, and significant lower rate of blood transfusions, respiratory and renal insufficiencies.
