Proton-Impact Ionization of the Hydrogen Atom

2011
The interaction between the projectile and target nucleus is included in the calculation of total cross sections of proton-impact ionization in the relativistic two-potential formalism from 0.1 to 2000 keV incident energies. Final states in screened-potentials are used to model the average positions of proton, electron, and target nucleus, while residual correlations between three reaction products are also accounted for.
