Incommensurate Magnetic Structure of Ca3Co1.8Fe0.2O6

We report the results of a detailed neutron powder diffraction study on the compound Ca3Co1.8Fe0.2O6. Our analysis reveals that this compound orders magnetically below 20 K. The magnetic ordering is incommensurate with a propagation vector k =  (0, 0, 1.0182). The magnetic structure corresponding to the representation Γ1, with a modulation and alignment of the moments along the cry stallo graphic c axis, describes the magnetic ordering at 1.5 K
