Spectral Efficiency and Information Transfer Rate Over Optical Fibers in Spatial Parallelism

Spatial parallelism contribution to optical fibers spectral efficiency and to signal transfer rate is being estimated. Parallelism multiplier system parameter is introduced. Using this parameter analytical expressions are constructed to determine the optical fibers spectral efficiency and information transfer rate. Examples of spatial parallelism of optical signal transmission in few-mode and multicore fibers are given.
