Multi-mode Absorption Spectroscopy with Mid-infrared Interband Cascade Lasers for Multi-species Sensing

Simultaneous sensing of methane, acetylene and formaldehyde in a mixture by multi-mode absorption spectroscopy, MUMAS, using an interband cascade laser, ICL, at 3.7 microns. is reported. Concentrations of pure gases were measured with ~1% uncertainty.
