Study on the Chemical Constituents of Daphne genkwa

OBJECTIVE To study the chemical consitituents of Daphne genkwa Sieb.et Zucc.METHODS The compounds were isolated by solvent extraction,and separated by silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography.Their structures were identified by physicochemical properties and various spectroscopic methods including NMR spectrum,MS,UV,etc.RESUTLS Twelve compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate part and 10 compounds were elucidated as apigenin(1),genkwanin(2),4′-O-methylapigenin(3),kaempferol[3-O-β-D-(6-O-trans-p-coumaroyl)-glucopyranoside](4),4-hydroxybenzaldehyde(5),trans-p-hydroxy cinnamic methyl ester(6),p-hydroxybenzoic acid(7),p-hydroxy cinnamic acid(8),benzyl-glucopyranoside(9)and phenylethyl-glucopyranoside(10),respectively.CONCLUSION Compounds 5-10 were isolated from Daphne genkwa for the first time.
