A compound comprising a polyalkylene oxide derivative having a specific structure as hyaluronic acid and specific molecular weight having repeating units of from 300 to 30,000, the content of the polyalkylene oxide derivative 5 with respect to the carboxyl group 100 equivalents of hyaluronic acid 100 equivalents, compound and hydrogel consisting of the compound.
