The invention relates to a display device and electronic equipment. The display device comprises a display panel, a fingerprint sensor and a first control chip, wherein the fingerprint sensor is arranged in an effective display area of the display panel and is used for recognizing fingerprints; the first control chip is electrically connected with the display panel; and when both a first area withthe fingerprint sensor and a second area without the fingerprint sensor receive a signal for displaying a same grayscale, the first control chip is used for adjusting grayscales of the first area and/or the second area according to the signal, light transmittance of the first area and light transmittance of the second area, so as to ensure that the grayscales displayed by the first area and the second area are the same. According to the display device, after the signal for displaying the same grayscale is received, the grayscales of the first area and the second area can be adjusted accordingto three parameters: the signal, the light transmittance of the first area and the light transmittance of the second area, so as to ensure that the first area and the second area display the same grayscale and then the watching effect of users is ensured.
