The clinical value of detecting bacteria 16SrRNA gene in the serious patients with infection.

Objective To explore the diagnostic value of serious patients with infection by detecting bacterial 16SrRNA gene.Methods APACHEⅡscore over 12 was defined as serious disease.40 serious patients with infection were admitted,drawn peripheral blood to detect 16SrRNA gene with PCR and perform bacterial blood culture simultaneously.Results Of the 40 patients,13 patients whose 16SrRNA gene were positive(32.5%).6 persons had positive blood culture(15%).The persons with positive blood culture were all PCR positive.Conclusion PCR can detect bacterial 16SrRNA gene in plasm in the serious patients with infection.It is sensitive,and uninfluenced by antibiotics.
