: In this work we approach the racial theme in the school context, from the perspective of both teachers and students. The objective is to verify how the work of the teacher interferes in the (de) construction of the black identity of the students in the classroom. The methodological proposal is a quantitative-qualitative research of descriptive and exploratory nature and the context investigated was students and teachers of the Public School of Primary Education Antonio Martins de Almeida, located in Quixada-CE, having as technique of data collection questionnaire And interview. We realize that the school has an important role in the formation of the black identity of the students, but it is not yet a common and active practice in the didactics of teachers, it is also clear how racial issues are still silenced and invisible in the school environment.
