Moving from Sensors to Smart Objects

The Internet of Things connects the physical world together. From the standpoint of the Internet of Things, the connected physical world can be modelled as a family of interactive smart objects which incorporate sensors, actuators, computing hardware and software. This paper discusses how smart objects can be built on top of sensors and actuators. The paper also reviews technologies that are employed to implemente smart objects and the Internet of Things.
