New Applications of Plasma Technology in Material Forming

The plasma technology has gradually played an important role in forming and cutting for new material. Basic mechanisms of plasma spray forming (PSF) and plasma arc cutting (PAC) ceramic with additional anode have been introduced according to generating characteristic of plasma. The mostly influence factors have also been analyzed based on experiments of rapid forming and molding. At the same time, the new technology of ceramic rapidly cutting with high efficiency and good quality has been investigated by contrast experiments in the condition of various constrictive plasma such as water constriction, magnetic constriction and water-magnetic constriction. The results will contribute to develop more application field of plasma technology.
