Association method of VXLAN and tunnel and apparatus thereof

The invention discloses an association method of a VXLAN and a tunnel and an apparatus thereof. The method is applied to a VTEP in a VXLAN network. The method comprises the following steps of configuring a corresponding relation of the VXLAN and the tunnel in advance; through a tunnel configured on equipment, receiving a notification message sent by an opposite terminal VTEP to the tunnel, wherein the received notification message carries a VNI of the current VXLAN corresponding to the tunnel on the opposite terminal VTEP; aiming at each current VXLAN corresponding to the tunnel on the equipment, if the same VXLAN exists in the VXLAN indicated by the VNI carried by the received notification message and the VXLAN on the equipment is not associated with the tunnel, associating the VXLAN on the equipment and the tunnel. In the invention, the VTEPs of two ends of the tunnel can be dynamically negotiated to determine the VXLAN which can be associated with the tunnel so that automatic association of the VXLAN configured on the VTEP and the tunnel is realized.
