An Interagency Program to Improve Irrigated Agriculture

An interagency Management Improvement Program (MIP) has been initiated to develop, apply, and evaluate the MIP methodology as a way to improve resource management and organizational effectiveness in supporting irrigated agriculture. The Diagnostic Analysis (DA), the first phase of a demonstration MIP underway in an irrigation district in central Arizona, is described along with a brief discussion of the DA findings.
