Decreased bireactivos contaminants in aromatic streams.
1999
A method for removing bromine-reactive mono-olefinic an aromatic hydrocarbon stream comprising contaminants: providing a hydrocarbon feed stream having from 0.05 to 1.5 weight percent of olefinic contaminants and a level of dienes below 50 ppm; contacting the feedstream with a catalyst composition active acid selected from the MCM-22 family of molecular sieves under conditions sufficient to remove bromine-reactive mono-olefinic contaminants, conditions comprising a temperature between 93 and 260 ° C (between 200F and 500) and / or a space velocity from 0.1 WHSV WHSV 100, and / or a pressure from 0.34 to 6.9 MPag (50 to 1000 psig).
