Epoxidized fatty acid (ester) and preparation method thereof

The invention discloses an epoxidized fatty acid (ester) and a preparation method thereof, which belong to functional group modification, and particularly relate to the epoxidation of an unsaturated fatty acid. The preparation method of the epoxidized fatty acid (ester) provided by the invention comprises the following steps of: (1) mixing an unsaturated fatty acid (ester) and an organic acid at the temperature of 30-120 DEG C in the mass ratio of 1:(0.01-1), adding a strong acid for serving as a catalyst, and uniformly mixing; and (2) dropwise adding hydrogen peroxide, preserving heat for 1-12 hours after dropwise adding, skimming a product, removing a water layer, washing with an alkaline liquor, washing with distilled water, and removing a low-boiling-point substance under reduced pressure to obtain a purified product, wherein the mass ratio of the hydrogen peroxide to the unsaturated fatty acid is (0.2-1):1. The epoxidized resin fatty acid (ester) has the advantages of low raw material cost, simple method, no pollution of water generated in a reaction process to the environment, and high environmental friendliness.
