Beamsteering optimized by appropriate random phasing quantization methods
2000
Beamsteering for a phased array is known to deviate from the desired pointing direction. This deviation occurs due to the use of digital phase shifters. In this correspondence, we develop the robust modification of the random phase quantization methods by means of appropriate random phasing quantization methods. For this purpose, the appropriate mean phase error equal-to-zero method (AMPEEZ), appropriate two probable value method (A2PV) and the appropriate phase-added method (APAM) are proposed.
