Photoelectron angular distributions in 2+1 REMPI through nf (3/2)2e and nf (5/2)2e states of Xe

Angular distributions of photoelectrons ejected through 2+1 REMPI via nf (3/2)2 e and nf (5/2)2 e (n=4, 5 and 6), Jc =1/2 and 3/2 states of Xe have been measured. Ionization ratios between the two channels leading to the two fine-structure levels of the ground state of the Xe+ ion have been extracted. The experimental results have been compared with the results of the QDT calculations of Tang and Lambropoulos (Ref. unobtainable).
