Study on Efficacy of Shen-Bei-Gu-Chang Capsule in Treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome Diarrhea

Objective: To finish part of clinical trials on Shen-bei-gu-chang Capsules,and explore the efficacy of it in treatment of irritable bowel syndrome-diarrhea( IBS-D). Methods: The selected ninety-two patients with IBS-D were randomly divided into experimental group( n = 46 cases) and control group( n = 45cases). Patients in experimental group were administered with Shen-bei-gu-chang capsules for two weeks. Patients in control group were administered with simulation agent of Gu-ben-yi-chang Tablets for two weeks,and then followed up for two more weeks. Results: The total effective rate of the experimental group and the control group was 86. 7% and 64. 4% respectively,and there was a significant difference between groups( P 0. 05). Conclusion: Shen-bei-gu-chang Capsules and Gu-ben-yichang Tablets can alleviate symptoms on patients with IBS-D,Shen-bei-gu-chang Capsules has more obvious effect.
