1993-2004 YILLARI ARASINDA İSTANBUL'DA SAPTANAN KEDİ TÜMÖRLERİNİN TOPLU DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ (132 OLGU)

OZET Bu calismada 1993-2004 yillari arasinda Istanbul Universitesi Veteriner Fakultesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalinda incelenen degisik yas, irk ve cinsiyetteki 132 kediye ait cesitli doku ve organlarda saptanan tumor tipleri ve oranlanin sunulmasi amaclandi. Bu tumorlerden 7 tanesi nekropsi, 125 tanesi de biyopsi materyalinden elde edildi. Incelenen kedilerden 15 tanesinin cinsiyeti bilinmemektedir. Cinsiyeti bilinen 117 kediden 33'u (%28.20) erkek, 84'u (%71.79) disiydi. Bu kedilerden 10 tanesinin de yasi bilinmemektedir. Yasi bilinen 122 kediden 2'si (%1.63) bir yasin altinda, 22'si (% 18.03) 1-5 yas arasinda, 56'si (%45.90) 6-10 yas arasinda, 37'si (% 30.32) 11-15 yas arasinda ve 5 tanesi (%4.09) 15 yas ustundedir. Incelenen tumorlerin 19 tanesi (% 14.39) benign, 113 tanesi (%85.60) maligndir. Bu tumorlerden 60 tanesi (%45.45) epitelyal, 67 tanesi (%50.75) mezenkimal kokenlidir ve 5 tanesi (%3.78)'de her iki komponenti iceren miks tumordur. Tumorlerin sistem, organ ve dokulara gore dagilim yuzdelerinde; disi genital sistem %37.12. kas-iskelet sistemi %16.16, deri ve eklentileri % 15.90, sindirim sistemi % 12.87, kulak kepcesi ve kulak kanali %5.30, karin duvari ve karin boslugu %4,54, goz ve goz kapagi %3.78, solunum sistemi, lenfatik ve haemopoietik sistem ile bosaltim sistemi %1.51 olarak belirlendi. Anahtar Kelimeler: Tumor, insidens, kedi ABSTRACT EVALUATION OF CAT TUMOURS OBSERVED IN ISTANBUL BETWEEN THE YEARS OF 1993-2004 (132 CASES) The objective of this study was to present the tumor incidence, detected in various tissue and organ samples from 132 cats, which were histologically evaluated at the Department of Pathology, Veterinary Faculty, Istanbul University between 1993- 2004. Of the 132 specimens, seven were obtained from necropsy, while 125 were biopsy samples. Sexes of 15 cats are unknown. From those 117 cats whose sex are known 33 (28.20%) of them were male and 84 (71.79%) of them were female. Also ages of 10 cats from those 132 were unknown. From those 122 cats whose age are known 2 (1.63%) of them were younger then 1 years old, 22 (18.03%) of them were 1-5 years old, 56 (45.90%) of them were 6-10 years old, 37 (30.32%) of them were 11-15 years old and 5 of them were older then 15 (4.09%) years old. Nineteen (14.39%) of the evaluated tumours were benign and 113 (85.60%) of them were malign. Sixty (45.45%) of those tumours were epithelial, 67 (50.75%) of them were mesenchymal and 5 (3.78%) of them were mix tumours containing either of these components. The percentage of tumours distributed to different systems, organs and tissues were: female genital system 37.12%, muscular and skeletal system 16.16%, skin and appendages 15.90%, digestive system 12.87%, earlobe and ear channel 5.30%, abdominal wall and abdominal cavity 4.54%. eye and eyelid 3.78%, respiratory system, lymphatic and haematopoietic system and urinary system 1.51%.
