Malformación adenomatoide quística pulmonar asociada con pseudotumor inflamatorio

2011
Cystic adenomatoid malformation of the lung (CAM) is an uncommon hamartomatous lesion showing an overgrowth of terminal bronchioles replacing the alveoli. The condition may be associated with other malformations, chromosomal abnormalities and malignancies. We present the case of a 2-year-old girl with a CAM type II in the right lung associated with an adjacent solid tumor with the morphologic and inmunohistochemical features of an inflammatory pseudotumor (IPT). The presence of a CAM with an IPT in the same lobe of the lung represents a previosly unrecognized association.
