Construction Techniques for Pumping-up of Concrete into Steel Tubes of the 4th Qiantangjiang River Bridge in Hangzhou

The superstructure of main bridge of the 4th Qiantangjiang River Bridge is an 11-span concrete-filled steel tube tied arch bridge with the largest diameter of the arch rib steel tube 170 cm.In this paper,the mix proportioning design of the concrete filled into the steel tubes of the Bridge and concrete construction technology by pumping-up method are presented,and the quality control and inspection for the concrete in the tubes are described as well.
