The complex abnormal chromosome and the level of serum ALP in the prediction of the chronic myelocytic leukemia patients

2008
Objective To investigate and compare the level of serum alkaliphosphatase(ALP) and the chromosome in the patients with chronic myelocytic leukemia (CML).Methods The serum concentration of ALP were indirectly tested by chemical method,Metaphase chromosomes were prepared using direct method and culture method.Karyotyping was performed using R-banding technique. All CML patients was not including those with immunologic disease、liver、kidney disease and infective disease and were divided into the chronic phase CML and the acceleration phase or blast crisis CML.The normal group was 20 cases. Results Two group patients were higher level of ALP than the normal group. The acceleration phase or blast crisis CML patients has not only the high incidence of the complex abnormal chromosome but also the high levels of ALP than the chronic phase patients, the serum ALP level have the positive correlation with infantility cells too,but the difference of the level of serum ALP was not found between those with PH1 and those with the complex abnormal chromosome. Conclusions The high serum ALP level and high incidence of the complex abnormal chromosome in acceleration phase or blast crisis CML patients closely related their situation.
