Identity verification method and device

The invention provides an identity verification method embodiment. The embodiment comprises following steps: in response to an operation of a user for starting a program needing identity verification, reminding the user to input a to-be-identified fingerprint; after the user input the to-be-identified fingerprint, determining a respective matching priority for each reserved fingerprint in a preset fingerprint base, wherein the high and low rank of the matching priorities expresses the preferred using sequence of the user to each reserved fingerprint; comparing each reserved fingerprint with the to-be-identified fingerprint according to the high and low rank of each matching priority, thus obtaining an identity verification result. Compared with the prior art, according to the embodiment of the invention, the comparing sequence of the reserved fingerprints is determined according to the determined matching priorities; the using conditions of the user to the fingerprints are taken into consideration; the probability of obtaining the identity verification result by using relatively little matching times is improved; namely, the identify verification efficiency is improved; the user experience is relatively better; the method and the device of the invention also provides an identity verification device embodiment for ensuring the application and the realization of the method.
