Clinical Analysis on Factors of Postpartum Hemorrhage by Repeated Cesarean Section of Scarred Uterus

2013
Objective To investigate the factors and preventive measures of postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) by repeated cesarean section of scarred uterus. Methods The clinical data of 223 cases undergoing repeated cesarean section of scarred uterus in our hospital from January 2012 to December 2012 were retrospectively analyzed. Results 19 cases (8.52%) had postpartum hemorrhage among 223 cases. The factors of postpartum hemorrhage included 11 cases (57.89%) of uterine inertia, 4 cases (21.05%) of abdominal adhesions, 3 cases of placental factors (15.79%), and 1 case (5.26%) of soft birth canal injury. Conclusions Focusing on the main factors of postpartum hemorrhage and taking active preventive measures can effectively reduce the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage by repeated cesarean section of scarred uterus, and minimize the amount of postpartum hemorrhage.
