Clinical efficacy of uterine artery embolization for treating the patients with cesarean scar pregnancy

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of uterine artery embolization( UAE) for treating the patients with cesarean scar pregnancy( CSP). Methods 35 CSP patients were selected. They were divided into observation group and control group according to treatment methods,the control group was given the therapy of drug combined with uterine curettage, and the observation group was given the therapy of UAE combined with uterine curettage. Results The effective rate of clinical efficacy of the observer group was 100. 0%,the control group was 58. 8%. The uterine curettage intraoperative bleeding,the time required of β-HCG dropped to normal levels,hospitalization time of the observation group were significantly lower than control group. After UAE,the observation group had 8 cases with fever symptoms,had 5 cases with right thigh pain,symptomatic treatment after 2 to 5 days these symptoms disappeared,there was no serious complications. Conclusion The UAE for treating the patients with CSP is safe and effective.
