The recording and assessment of magnetisation waveforms in transformer cores

Abstract In assessing the true benefits of improvements in materials and transformer design, practical flux conditions must be considered. Waveforms recorded from a 10 MVA transformer core have been used to assess material characteristics and will be applied in the development of scale and mathematical models of cores.
