MP22-03 LONG-TERM ONCOLOGIC OUTCOMES OF PATIENTS TREATED WITH SALVAGE LYMPH NODE DISSECTION FOR NODAL RECURRENCE OF PROSTATE CANCER: RESULTS FROM A LARGE, MULTI-INSTITUTIONAL SERIES
2019
INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES:Salvage lymph node dissection (SLND) represents a possible treatment approach for patients affected by nodal recurrence of prostate cancer (PCa). However, its oncological effectiveness at long-term follow-up remains largely unknown. Therefore, we reported long-term follow-up data from a large, multi-institutional series of patients treated with SLND assessing strong clinical endpointsMETHODS:We included 605 patients treated with SLND at eleven tertiary referral centres for nodal recurrence of PCa. Outcomes consisted of biochemical (BCR) and clinical recurrence (CR), as well as cancer-specific (CSM) and other-cause mortality (OCM) at 8, 10, and 12 years from SLND. Kaplan-Meier assessed oncological outcomes at different time points. Cumulative incidence Poisson smoothed plot compared CSM and OCM rates at long-term follow-up. Competing-risk regression models tested the predictors of BCR, CR and CSM after accounting for OCMRESULTS:Median age at SLND was 66 years. The number of pati...
