BIOMARKERS OF INFLAMMATION IN THE FORECAST OF THE OUTCOME OF THE ABDOMINAL SEPSIS

2012
The analysis of biomarkers of generalized infl ammation in patients with severe abdominal sepsis is carried out. The level ofIL-1β, TNF-α, IL-6, TGF-β3, were measured inserumat 1, 5, 10 day at 56 patientswith severeabdominal sepsis, multiple organfailure andsigns ofsystemic infl ammatory response. Patientswere divided into2 groups: n = 38 the survivors (group I) and died patients n = 18 (Group II), taking into account the 28 day mortality. These results confi rm that the determination of the level of cytokines, TNF-α and IL-6 have greater prognostic value. The interrelation of these high-level of cytokines in the later stages of the process with the development of severe adverse outcome of septic states has been found. At the same time the level of IL-1β and TGF-β3 had no signifi cant differences in groups depending on the outcome of abdominal sepsis.
