UPLC determination of 12 hormones illegally adulterated into traditional Chinese medicines and health products

Objective:To establish a specific method for quickly identifying 12 hormones added illegally into traditional Chinese medicines and health products which cure skins-disease or asthma by UPLC.Methods:The separation is performed on an Waters ACQUITY UPLC BEH C18 column(1.7 μm,2.1 mm ×50 mm) with gradient elution using water and acetonitrile,the flow rate was 0.5 mL·min-1.Results:The peaks of 12 Hormones were completely separated.15 samples were tested and Fluocinonide was detected out in one sample.Conclusions:The method is accurate,sensitive and easy.It is proved that the method is simple,suitable to rapidly determine 12 hormones added illegally into traditional Chinese medicines and health products.
