Direct electrochemical synthesis and crystal structure of Cu-(chiral amino alcohol) complex

The complex(C_(24)H_(24)NO)_2Cu·CH_3CN(HL=S-(1-Benzy1-pyrrolidin-2-yl)-diphenyl-methanol)was (synthesized) by the electrochemical oxidation of Cu metal anodes in acetonitrile solution.The final product was (characterized) by elementary analysis,IR,and SEM and the structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.The crystal belongs to trigonal,space group P3_121 with a=9.8201(15),b=9.82501(15),c=36.516(6)?,α=β=90°,γ=120°,V=3049.6(8)?~3,Z=3,ρ_(calc.)=1.290g/cm~3,F(000)=1251.In the complex two hydroxy oxygen atoms and two pyrrolidin nitrogen atoms from the ligand coordinate to copper(II)ion,forming a distorted square plane.
