Association with Anti-Sd 70 Antibody and DigitalPifting

2015
The association of clinical and serologic features of 34 patients with systemic sclerosis was examined. Anti-Sd 70 antibody was found to identify patients with abnormal pulmonary function, particularly impaired diffusion (pserologic and cellular immune responses have been reported to occur.”2 The serologic study ofthese patients often reveals the presence of autoantibodies like anti-Sd 70 or anticentromere which are mainly detected in the diffuse form and the CREST variant of scieroderma, respectively.5’6 Recently, the presence of anti-Sd 70 antibody has been reported to correlate with the presence ofpulmonary involvement in patients with systemic sclerosis.7’8 In this study, we examined the association of several serologic parameters with clinical manifestations, including abnormalities of pulmonary function, in patients with systemic sclerosis. Our data suggest that both anti-Sd 70 antibody and digital pitting are associated with impaired
