Band Rejection Characteristics Of Spline Based Compact UltraWideband Antenna

A compact planar spline based ultra wideband antenna is proposed in this paper. The antenna is compactwith overall substrate dimension of 25x25x1mm. The antenna is printed on FR4 epoxy substrate and is fed bymicrostrip line feeding. The antenna operates from 3.1 to 11.5 GHz rejecting two band of 5.2 GHz to 6.7 GHz and7.2 GHz to 7.5 GHz. The performance related to return loss, VSWR, current density and gain of the antenna areinvestigated using ANSYS HFSS.
