Retrograde aortography in the study of renal arterial lesions.
1964
Abstract A technic of retrograde catheter aortography is described in which the Williams' instrumentarium is used with an open cut down exposure of the femoral artery. The contrast medium is injected by hand and small volumes have been found satisfactory. The procedure is performed in the operating room with the patient under local anesthesia and with the supervision of a staff anesthesiologist. Standard x-ray equipment is employed.
