Effect of Gallic acid in potentiating chemotherapeutic effect of Paclitaxel in HeLa cervical cancer cells

Background Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer affecting women worldwide. Paclitaxel/Carboplatin is one of the most commonly prescribed regimens in cervical cancer treatment. Although chemotherapeutic drugs are very effective, severe side effects and development of drug resistance limits the use of these drugs. The use of natural products with anticancer activity may help to partially overcome these issues.
