Today the development of on-board repeaters maintains a steady trend towards the complication of signal switching as well as the the implementation of signal processing with complete regeneration. Meanwhile the congestion of spectrum /orbit resources results in more stringent radio performance specifications for standard repeater systems. This situation implies the definition of new higher requirements for electrical ground support equipment.This paper describes the architecture and technical features of the most unified electrical ground support equipment designed for testing both traditional repeaters and more complicated advanced ones.
