Adolescent ENDS and Tobacco Use: A Preliminary Analysis of an Outpatient Clinical Cohort

Purpose As the prevalence of cigarette smoking among adolescents has steadily decreased in the past two decades, adolescents’ use of electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS: electronic cigarettes, hookah, other non-combustible sources of nicotine) has increased significantly. This study describes usage patterns among adolescents in three suburban pediatric outpatient clinics, for ENDS, cigarettes and marijuana.
