Lineamientos estratégicos para fortalecer la gestión gerencial en universidades de la costa atlántica

2020
Higher education institutions must rethink and redesign themselves to intelligently and successfully address their positioning in the sector. This being the claim of the article, whose objective was to generate strategic guidelines for the strengthening of managerial management in universities on the Atlantic Coast. Methodologically, it corresponds to a positivist, descriptive, non-experimental, transactional, field design paradigm. The population consisted of eight (8) universities located on the Colombian Caribbean coast, not identified by name, the key informants being directors of academic programs of these houses of study, with voluntary participation. A validated 35-item questionnaire was applied, whose reliability was 0.86 by Cronbach’s alpha. The data were processed by inferential statistics, using the Analysis of Variance technique, and Tukey’s Honestly-significant-difference test, to carry out a multiple comparison (profiling) of the means. Likewise, Student’s “t” test was used for independent samples between dimensions. Among the findings is that, in managerial management, systems design is the first factor considered, followed by contextual analysis, the formulation of goals and strategies. Concluding on the importance of generating the proposed strategic guidelines.
