The θ meson and low-energy interactions of elementary particles

Abstract The simple resonance model for nucleon form factors is considered. The ϱ, ω and θ mesons with experimental masses are taken into account and all other contributions are approximated by constants. For the isovector form factors this model is applicable for | q 2 | not far from m ϱ 2 , i.e. for | q 2 | ≲ 20 fm −2 . It is shown that the model agrees quite well with experiment in this region. The kaon form factors are also considered and the θ-meson-nucleon coupling constant is estimated.
