The invention relates to a user interface and especially relates to a method for user interface adjustment and an electronic device. The method comprises the steps that a touch operation conducted by a user to an application program icon page on a display unit is responded, a touch sensing signal generated by the display unit to the application program icon page is received, and the corresponding touch operation is determined according to the touch sensing signal; and when the touch operation is deemed as relative sliding of two fingers, display of at least one application program icon on the application program icon page can be adjusted. According to the invention, the user can easily magnify or zoom out the size of the application software icon on the user interface and change the quantity of the application program icons, so that the user's experience is improved, and flexibility of man-machine interactions is enhanced.
