O ritmo dos conjuntos: uma experiência interdisciplinar entre música e matemática

This study focuses on the creation and evaluation by the students of the pilot class “The rhythm of the sets” developed by the group “Musimatica”, formed by three teachers from a public school of technical professional education of the high school. This process started in August 2019 with the development didactic proposal integrating music and mathematics. Two first-year classes from two different technical courses participated in the activity on November 28 of 2019. At the end of the class, questionnaires of the type differential scales were distributed, which were answered by 54 students in the total of the classes. The quantitative analysis of the results showed that the class “The rhythm of the sets” produced greater interest, motivation and engagement when compared to a traditional expository class (“normal class”) on the theme, however, the data showed the students still believe that the traditional lecture class is better for learning the content and the ability to solve exercises.
