The objective of this symposium is to provide new insights into the micro-foundations of advice seeking and resource exchange, with a primary focus on three key areas of inquiry: a)The antecedents of advisor-advisee relationships (i.e. the decision about whom to choose when seeking advice); b)Previous unexplored costs and consequences to advice seeking. c) The mechanisms responsible for translating network resources into material outcomes."
