The academic community of historians in pre-revolutionary Russia in the context of ‘old’ and ‘new’ models of historiographical studies

2011
The article is focused on the models of studies of the history of historical discipline in the pre- revolutionary Russia. The first one, shaped in 1920-30s saw this academic community in class terms and viewed it as an ‘object of repression’. The second one was developed in the late 20 th – early 21 st cc. It places the studies of the academic community into anthropological paradigm. Heuristic potential of the ‘new’ model is emphasized.
