Use of an agonist of GLP-2 in the preparation of a medicament for treating a desindrome patient short bowel presenting colon in continuity, wherein the receptor agonist GLP-2 is [Gly2] hGLP-2 and is present in an amount effective to enhance the intestinal absorption by said patient.
