Chapter 13 – Future Research Directions

In this chapter, we discuss some new areas in the field of amphioxus immunology, including the posttranslational modification of immune genes, the function of amphioxus microRNAs in the immune response, and the role of alternative 3’ UTR changes in amphioxus immunity.
