In this study, orifice discharge coefficients are compared using computational fluid dynamics when the working fluids are room temperature water and cryogenic liquid nitrogen. Commercial CFD software is used for numerical analysis, and the experiment is conducted for simulation validation. Similar tendency of orifice discharge coefficients between water and liquid nitrogen is identified in range of high reynolds number, but the discharge coefficient values of liquid nitrogen are smaller than those of water.
