티아라 디자인을 형상화한 웨딩 업스타일연구

2016
Tiara is a hairstyle that can raise women"s pride to the max, conferring elegance and symbolism. Women in the past and present put on a tiara on their head when they wanted to be at the center of attention or show special grace. Looking at best-known tiara masterpieces in times past, one can see that they were all possessions of most powerful, richest, or most beautiful. Tiaras have been developed in conjunction with the time"s art trend, with the 18th century at the peak of its development. Jewels used in the tiaras at the time reflect social mores and artistic appreciation of the time, which was the condensation of best-possible materials and workmanship. This study concerns wedding up-style pieces with tiaras as motifs. The tiaras in question here are shaped as flowers, with the symbolism borrowed from Greek and Roman mythology. In addition, the author created the wedding up-style pieces by combining the formativeness of the accessory tiara with trendy feel. The results of this paper are summarized as follows: Piece I is a tiara modeled after a rose with beautiful look and fragrance, which is reinterpreted as something majestic by fully using C-curls and S-curls. With orange-color yellow water-lily as a motif, Piece Ⅱ expressed romantic feminine and cute imagery by using loops. In Piece Ⅲ, the tiara flower"s motif is similar to masdevallia, which is splendid and sophisticated. Techniques such as vertical roll and curl unroll were employed, with corresponding colors that accentuate modern feel and elegance. Piece Ⅳ highlights the delicate feel of delphinium and goddess-like sacredness. With the use of twist and superimposing, it makes the feel of modernity and freedom more pronounced. With this study, the author hopes to propose wedding up-style corresponding to different social occasions by applying different tiara designs, thereby helping women adopt more sophisticated up-style which is an essential element of socialization.
