Identification and Control Measures of Occupational Hazards in A Thermal Power Plant Phase 3 Expansion Project

[Objective]To identify and analyze the potential occupational hazards in phase 3 expansion project of a thermal power plant,and explore the prevention and control measures.[Methods]On-site occupational health survey and Testing methods for detection of occupational hazards were performed.[Results]The production process may produce coal dust,silica dust,chemical toxicant,noise,heat,power frequency high voltage electric field,electromagnetic radiation and other occupational hazards,with dust,noise and heat as the major occupational hazards in this plant.[Conclusion]Prevention and treatment of the existed occupational hazards in this plant should be controlled and treated by taking practical protective facilities and measures on occupational hazards control points,especially prevention of coal dust,heat and noise protection.
